Calderón launches plan to attract tourists
In the wake of the flu outbreak that cost the country millions in tourism dollars, President Felipe Calderón on Monday launched a $90 million campaign aimed at reviving Mexico´s third-most important industry.
"Thousands of families throughout the country live off tourism," said Calderón at a Los Pinos event to mark the launch of "Vive México." "And these hardworking, honest people are going through a very difficult time."

Foreign Tourists To Be Reimbursed for Sales Tax Expenditures
Sales tax rebates will be paid to foreign visitors beginning in June to enhance the experience of traveling to Mexico and make the country a destination of choice for international tourists.
Once the Tax Administration Service (TAS) grants concessions to three companies to operate the program, Mexico plans to put the program into effect.
